Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Operations professional to join our team. This role is vital in maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, and supporting operational functions across our organization. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong technical accounting skills, and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving. Duties Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Quicken. Perform general ledger accounting activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and governmental accounting standards where applicable. Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies promptly. Prepare detailed financial reports, including financial statement writing, budget analysis, and account reconciliation summaries. Oversee payroll processing and tax-related activities, ensuring timely submissions and adherence to relevant regulations. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions through double-entry bookkeeping and account reconciliation procedures. Support operational functions by assisting with budgeting processes, financial software management, and general administrative tasks related to finance. Skills Extensive experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, and other financial management tools. Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, non-profit accounting practices, governmental accounting standards, and technical accounting concepts. Proficiency in bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger management. Knowledge of debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping systems, and financial concepts essential for accurate bookkeeping. Ability to perform detailed account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and account reconciliation with precision. Familiarity with payroll processing, tax experience, accounts payable/receivable management, and budgeting techniques. Excellent organizational skills including 10 key typing proficiency for data entry accuracy. Strong communication skills for financial report writing and collaborating across departments to ensure operational efficiency.
