This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health and operational efficiency of our organization. You will play a vital part in managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, supporting accounting functions, and assisting with operational processes. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and possesses a strong foundation in accounting principles and software systems. This position is perfect for someone looking to apply their accounting expertise in a flexible, part-time capacity while gaining valuable experience across various financial and administrative functions. Responsibilities Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems Prepare journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping records, and financial reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards Assist with payroll processing and maintain accurate employee records Conduct account analysis and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy Maintain detailed records of financial transactions using spreadsheets and financial software tools Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and preparing financial summaries for review Skills Proven experience with bookkeeping, accounting systems, and financial software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms Strong understanding of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation Familiarity with corporate accounting practices as well as non-profit accounting procedures Ability to perform bank reconciliation, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately Proficiency in spreadsheets for data entry, analysis, and reporting purposes Knowledge of GAAP standards and accounting regulations applicable to various organizations Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and support operational functions Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to excellence in financial management!
