This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our financial and clerical functions. As an integral part of our organization, you will support various accounting processes, manage data entry tasks, and assist with general office duties to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all financial activities. Duties Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, or PeopleSoft. Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments through systems like Paychex, ADP, Ceridian, or UltiPro. Conduct account reconciliations including balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and account analysis to ensure financial accuracy. Support payroll management activities by processing payroll data using Kronos or ADP systems and verifying employee hours and deductions. Prepare journal entries, perform double-entry bookkeeping tasks, and assist with month-end closing procedures following GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Manage accounts payable and receivable functions while ensuring compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls for internal financial reporting. Assist with governmental or non-profit accounting requirements as needed, including tax experience and audit preparation. Perform routine administrative duties such as filing, organizing documents, handling correspondence, and supporting office operations efficiently. Utilize technical accounting knowledge to support special projects involving financial analysis or budget tracking. Qualifications Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft or similar platforms; familiarity with Workday or UltiPro is a plus. Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger management. Knowledge of payroll systems like ADP or Kronos for accurate payroll processing and management. Experience in corporate or governmental accounting environments; familiarity with SOX compliance is highly desirable. Ability to perform detailed data entry tasks with high accuracy using 10 key typing skills. Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles including double-entry bookkeeping and account analysis. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
