Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable professional specializing in Construction projects to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely collection of payments, accurate billing, and maintaining strong client relationships. Your expertise in construction accounting processes, financial software, and compliance standards will drive efficiency and accuracy in our financial operations. Responsibilities Manage and process all accounts receivable transactions related to construction projects, including invoicing and billing adjustments. Reconcile customer accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly. Utilize accounting systems such as QuickBooks, American Contractor or similar software to record financial data accurately and efficiently. Communicate effectively with clients regarding outstanding invoices. Collaborate with project managers and accounts payable admin to facilitate smooth financial operations and audits. Requirements Proven experience in accounts receivable within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles such as GAAP and debits & credits. Skilled in Excel data analysis, formulas, spreadsheets creation, and account reconciliation techniques. Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key), along with analysis skills for account review and problem-solving. Effective customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for client communication. Ability to perform detailed account analysis using Excel formulas and spreadsheets; experience with Excel data analysis is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts receivable tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
