Job Description
Job Overview We are looking for a hard-working, experienced Accounting Assistant/Bookkeeper to perform a variety of financial tasks. These include keeping financial records updated, preparing invoices and reconciling bank statements. This position will run accounting software programs to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable transactions. A successful Accounting Assistant will ensure that the company's daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively while supporting all functions in a small office environment. Responsibilities
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable including bookkeeping and banking tasks
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain invoices, accounting documents, and records
- Prepare general ledger postings and statements
- Use customer billing systems to bill daily/weekly/monthly billing depending on client requirements
- Reconcile client payments and credit card statements in a timely manner
- Monitor and order office supplies
- Assist and support HR & management team Skills & Experience
- 2 years accounting experience using QuickBooks
- ADP experience is a plus
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
- Multitasker and well organized
- Integrity and a willingness to learn
- Positive attitude to support all areas of a small office environment
- Associate degree or relevant certification is a plus Physical Demands
- Regularly required to sit, with occasional standing and walking
- Frequently required to work on a computer
- Occasionally required to use force to lift, push and pull up to 10 pounds
