Job Description
Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our accounting team. This position is an entry level position with growth opportunities. Duties Process and record customer payments accurately using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar systems. Reconcile accounts receivable ledger by verifying entries and resolving discrepancies through detailed account analysis. Manage collections accounts by contacting clients via phone and email, ensuring timely payments while maintaining professional customer service standards. Prepare and review journal entries related to receivables, debits & credits, and account adjustments in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliation and analysis of outstanding balances. Utilize spreadsheets and Excel data analysis techniques to monitor aging reports, identify overdue accounts, and develop strategies for collections. Support billing processes by generating invoices with billing software, ensuring accuracy in billing details and client information. Requirements
- 0-1 years of Accounts Receivable experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per weekBenefits:
