In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and supporting the overall financial health of our organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in various accounting software systems, including QuickBooks and double-entry bookkeeping. Responsibilities Record and process journal entries accurately within QuickBooks accounting systems, ensuring proper debits and credits are maintained. Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to verify financial data integrity. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently to ensure timely payments and collections. Prepare detailed financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements. Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation tasks regularly to identify discrepancies or errors. Assist with payroll processing by ensuring correct data entry and compliance with relevant regulations. Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses against forecasts and providing insights into financial trends. Maintain organized records of all financial transactions using various accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms. Ensure adherence to accounting standards like GAAP and industry-specific practices for non-profit or corporate accounting environments. Experience Proven bookkeeping experience with a strong background in general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and financial report writing. Demonstrated proficiency in popular accounting software including QuickBooks (Desktop & Online), Xero, Sage, and other financial systems. Familiarity with payroll processing procedures and related compliance requirements. Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles, journal entries, bank reconciliation techniques, and account analysis. Strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, account analysis, budgeting. Excellent spreadsheet skills for data analysis and reporting purposes using advanced Excel functions or similar tools.
