Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Bookkeeper/Clerk to assist with core financial functions. This role includes managing bookkeeping in QuickBooks, preparing Profit & Loss reports, processing payroll and bill payments, and supporting tax filings. The position is open to recent graduates and qualified students currently enrolled in accounting, finance, or business programs looking to gain real-world experience in a professional creative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks(Desktop and Online). Generate monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) reports Process accounts payable and ensure timely vendor payments Handle employee payroll, including timesheet tracking and compliance Assist with tax-related tasks, including sales tax filings and year-end documentation Collaborate with external accountants and maintain compliance with financial reporting deadlines Keep financial files organized and confidential Provide clerical and administrative support as neededQualifications:
Enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field Working knowledge of QuickBooks (Online or Desktop)—coursework or training is acceptable Understanding of accounting principles, P&L statements, and basic payroll functions Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and office software Preferred (but not required): Prior internship or academic project experience related to bookkeeping or payroll Interest in working with artists or within a creative business environment Familiarity with California payroll and tax requirementsPay:
