Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant / Bookkeeper to join our very busy Real Estate Office. This vital role combines administrative support with comprehensive bookkeeping responsibilities, ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes and office functions. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, financial software, and administrative tasks. We are also looking for someone with Real Estate Office experience. Duties Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online and desktop versions Process payroll accurately and on schedule, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations Maintain accurate records of journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analysis to support audit readiness Support administrative functions such as managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and maintaining filing systems Ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies through meticulous recordkeeping and internal controls Must be able to travel to/from multiple office locations in Murphys and Sonora offices Make weekly/daily bank deposits Experience Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in an accounting role with a solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles Experience in a Real Estate Office is a plus Hands-on experience with popular accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online) Strong knowledge of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and bank statement analysis Experience processing payroll and managing accounts payable/receivable workflows Join us if you're eager to leverage your accounting expertise within a supportive environment that values accuracy, efficiency, and proactive problem-solving.
