Contract-to-Hire Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist in Perris. This role is ideal for someone experienced in high-volume invoice processing who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process a high volume of vendor invoices, including receiving, verifying, and logging invoices and check requests Match invoices to purchase orders and ensure accuracy of pricing and quantities Apply proper job costing, GL coding, and obtain necessary approvals Enter invoices into Acumatica accurately and in a timely manner Prepare and process vendor payments on a semi-monthly basis Maintain organized AP files, including filing of paid vouchers and supporting documentation Review vendor statements and follow up on missing invoices Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies, payment issues, and inquiries Provide backup support for payroll processing and certified payroll reporting Assist with special projects and general accounting support as needed
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Proven experience in high-volume accounts payable processing Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Strong 10-key skills and typing speed of at least 40 WPM Excellent organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree or equivalent coursework in accounting or related field Bilingual skills are a plus
Pay Details:
