In this vital role, you will manage a variety of accounting functions, maintain accurate financial records, and support daily office operations. Your expertise in accounting software and financial concepts will ensure smooth financial processes and contribute to the overall efficiency of our organization. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about accounting and office management to grow within a supportive environment. Responsibilities Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records Prepare journal entries, financial reports, and assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems to record transactions accurately Support payroll processing, including data entry and compliance with relevant regulations Maintain spreadsheets for budgeting, expense tracking, and financial analysis purposes Assist with governmental and non-profit accounting standards compliance, including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Conduct account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and account reconciliation tasks to ensure data integrity Support office administrative duties such as data entry (10 key typing), filing, and document management Requirements Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with familiarity in bookkeeping procedures and accounting systems Strong knowledge of accounting concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger accounting Experience with popular accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, or similar platforms Familiarity with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, bank reconciliation, and financial report writing Understanding of GAAP standards and governmental or non-profit accounting practices is preferred Ability to analyze accounts accurately using spreadsheets and other financial tools Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within the team and support office operations Join us to be part of a vibrant team that values precision, efficiency, and proactive problem-solving.
