Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. Your expertise will support our commitment to maintaining strong financial health, compliance with accounting standards such as GAAP and SOX, and safeguarding confidential information. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment while honing your skills in various financial software systems and accounting concepts. Responsibilities Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and payments using financial software such as Workday, Paychex, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar systems Manage accounts receivable activities including billing, collections, and customer account analysis to ensure timely cash flow Perform accounts payable duties such as invoice coding, approval workflows, and vendor reconciliations Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy of financial data Prepare journal entries for month-end closing activities in compliance with GAAP and internal controls Handle data entry tasks with precision while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve process efficiencies using Excel data analysis and other tools Experience Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on accounts payable and receivable management Strong understanding of accounting principles including GAAP, governmental accounting standards, and technical accounting practices Familiarity with financial software such as ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms Experience working with accounting systems like Sage, Xero, or Microsoft Office Suite for spreadsheets and data analysis Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements and internal controls related to financial reporting Ability to handle complex account reconciliation tasks involving double entry bookkeeping and account analysis Excellent numeracy skills combined with strong attention to detail and customer service orientation Join us in a role that empowers you to make a meaningful impact through meticulous financial management.
