As a general contractor, we specialize in custom homes, additions, remodels, new builds, and ADU's. Our goal is to build beautiful spaces that our clients will enjoy for life while minimizing the stress of the remodeling process. As our Accountant and Office Admin, you will play a vital roll in our small but mighty team's functioning. We are a premier residential remodeling company looking for an organized, detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Office Administrator to manage our daily financial and office operations. This blended in-office role handles bookkeeping, basic HR duties, insurance policy tracking, and general office upkeep to ensure our construction business runs seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities Financial Management:
Maintain accurate records, manage accounts payable/receivable, run payroll, and generate monthly profit-and-loss statements.
QuickBooks Mastery:
Oversee all general ledger accounts, bank reconciliations, and precise construction job costing tracking.
HR Support:
Assist with occasional onboarding of new hires, maintaining employee files, and tracking time cards.
Admin:
Monitor, renew, and update company insurance policies, city licenses, and subcontractor certificates of insurance (COIs).
Office Housekeeping:
Manage office supplies, keep common areas tidy, and ensure a clean, professional in-office workspace. Other Responsibilities Occasional tech support (contacting IT) Contact with vendors and subcontractors if there are discrepancies (credit card company and others) regarding billing issues. Monitor digital subscriptions to Adobe, Microsoft Office, etc.
Required Qualifications QuickBooks Mastery:
Minimum 3 years of advanced, hands-on experience (Required).
Location:
Must be able to work 100% in-office (this is not a remote or hybrid position).
Skills:
Strong organizational habits, multi-tasking skills, and extreme attention to detail. Minimal paper usage.
Preferred Qualifications Industry Experience:
Prior bookkeeping or administration experience within the residential remodeling, construction, or trades industry.
Job Costing Knowledge:
Familiarity tracking materials, labor, and subcontractor expenses by specific project. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information• High level of efficiency and responsibility
Schedule & Compensation Job Type:
Part-time (30 hours per week)

Schedule:
Monday to Friday, roughly 6 hours per day, 8:30am -3:30pm
Pay:
$26 ~ $32/hour, Individual pay rates depend on a number of factors—including individual's knowledge, skills, experience, education, and training. We're looking for someone who is part time but able to bring a calming and pleasant energy to our office. Dress code is classy casual. Our office is located in Santa Clara near the Rivermark Plaza.
