Job Description
Bookkeeper - Senior Living Homeowner Communities We are seeking a full-time Bookkeeper to provide accounting and financial support for multiple communities within a senior living homeowner community. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in managing the accounting needs of multiple properties or entities. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P) , and prepare month-end financial reports for HOA boards.
- Apply a solid understanding of general accounting principles and concepts.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and board members, responding to questions regarding homeowner accounts and association financial matters.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Record and post accurate bank deposits on a weekly basis.
- Process accounts payable and issue vendor payments on a weekly basis.
- Prepare and record journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, and other necessary accounting adjustments.
- Prepare year-end financial reports and supporting documentation for CPAs.
- Prepare and issue 1099s and annual budget packages for HOA board members.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications
- At least 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience , including experience with the full accounting cycle through month-end close and financial statement preparation with limited oversight as well as HOA experience.
- Strong knowledge of account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting .
- Highly organized and able to effectively manage multiple properties, entities, deadlines, and reconciliation cycles while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Clear, professional, and courteous communication skills when interacting with homeowners, vendors, board members, and coworkers .
- Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and meet recurring deadlines.
Pay:
$21.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per weekBenefits:
