In this vital role, you will manage day-to-day financial transactions, ensure accurate record-keeping, and support the organization's financial health. Your expertise in accounting software and systems will help us maintain compliance with accounting standards and deliver precise financial reports. Duties Record and process all financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and balance sheets regularly to maintain data integrity Prepare journal entries, perform account analysis, and execute month-end closing procedures in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Assist with payroll processing, including calculating wages, deductions, and benefits in compliance with applicable laws Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses against forecasts and preparing financial reports for review Maintain accurate records of financial documents, including invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation for audits Qualifications Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, or equivalent systems Solid knowledge of corporate accounting standards, non-profit accounting practices (if applicable), and GAAP compliance Experience with double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation processes Strong skills in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for data analysis and report writing Familiarity with payroll processing procedures and financial concepts such as debits & credits, general ledger accounting, and balance sheet reconciliation Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high accuracy in a fast-paced environment Join our team to leverage your bookkeeping expertise while making a meaningful impact!
