This is more than a traditional front-desk position. The ideal candidate will provide excellent client service while also assisting with basic administrative, bookkeeping and accounting-related tasks. We are looking for someone who is comfortable interacting with clients, answering phones, managing office communications and supporting a professional CPA environment. A background in bookkeeping, accounting, finance, or business administration is highly preferred. Responsibilities Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner Greet clients and provide a welcoming front-office experience Schedule appointments and assist with client communications Receive, organize, and distribute client documents Assist with administrative and office support tasks Provide basic bookkeeping and accounting support as needed Assist with accounts receivable, invoices, reconciliations, and financial records Help maintain accurate and organized client files and records Assist the accounting and tax team with day-to-day office needs Communicate professionally with clients regarding documents, appointments, payments, and general inquiries Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and client information Qualifications Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or an accounting-related office environment Understanding of basic accounting concepts and terminology Ability to recognize and understand items such as invoices, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable balances, and bookkeeping records Excellent communication and customer service skills Professional appearance and demeanor Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office technology QuickBooks experience is a plus Prior experience working in a CPA, accounting, tax or professional services office is preferred What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with people and has an interest in accounting and bookkeeping.
