You will assist with daily transaction processing, account reconciliations, and financial data management, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and best practices. Responsibilities Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and other financial systems. Prepare and process journal entries, including debits & credits, to ensure accurate general ledger updates. Support accounts payable and receivable functions by verifying invoices, processing payments, and reconciling statements. Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data. Help with payroll processing tasks, ensuring timely and accurate employee payments. Conduct account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation to support month-end closing activities. Maintain organized records of financial transactions, supporting audit readiness and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Skills Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, and other financial management tools. Strong understanding of accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation. Experience with corporate accounting practices and non-profit accounting is a plus. Familiarity with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for budgeting, data analysis, and report writing. Knowledge of payroll processing procedures and accounts payable/receivable workflows. Ability to interpret financial statements and perform account analysis with attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving within accounting systems.
