Job Description
About the Role Joining H&R Block 1 as an experienced Bookkeeper, you'll deliver exceptional bookkeeping, payroll and customer service. You'll be an integral part of delivering on our brand purpose to provide help and inspire communities everywhere. What you'll bring to the role: Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers Reconcile and balance accounts Generate and analyze financial statements Prepare and process payroll Generate 1099s and W2s and calculate and prepare tax statements Communicate with clients, client suppliers, vendors and banking contacts Assist in client retention and client growth opportunities Preferred Qualifications Experience with Xero accounting software Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent National bookkeeping and payroll certifications from the National Bookkeeping Association, or the ability to successfully obtain certifications 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and generally accepted accounting principles & procedures Ability to correctly interpret and apply complete instructions, policies and regulations Ability to treat confidential information with professionalism and discretion Analytical skills and an eye for details Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently Why work for us Paid training and ongoing learning
