About the RoleRobert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk for a short-term assignment with a respected company in the death care industry located in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to support daily financial operations in a compassionate and service-focused environment.
The Accounting Clerk will assist with a variety of accounting and administrative functions, helping ensure accurate financial records and timely processing of transactions.
ResponsibilitiesProcess accounts payable and accounts receivable transactionsEnter invoices, payments, and journal entries into the accounting systemReconcile bank statements and account balancesAssist with month-end closing activitiesMaintain accurate financial records and filing systemsResearch and resolve discrepancies with vendors and customersPrepare reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft ExcelSupport the accounting team with special projects as needed
