About the RoleRobert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk for a contract opportunity with a school in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The Accounting Clerk will assist with a variety of accounting and administrative functions, supporting the school's business office and helping ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations.
ResponsibilitiesProcess accounts payable and accounts receivable transactionsEnter invoices, payments, deposits, and journal entries into the accounting systemAssist with reconciling bank accounts and general ledger accountsMaintain accurate financial records and student billing informationProcess and track purchase orders and vendor paymentsPrepare deposits and record cash receiptsSupport month-end and year-end closing activitiesAssist with payroll data entry and recordkeeping as neededGenerate financial reports and maintain spreadsheets using Microsoft ExcelFile and organize accounting documents while ensuring confidentiality of financial information
