Job Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a team in the Tri-Cities area in a contract-to-permanent role. This opportunity is well suited for someone who can manage a fast-moving workload while maintaining accuracy across daily payable activities. The position focuses on invoice processing, purchase order matching, vendor communication, and timely payment support in a high-volume environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Handle a large daily volume of incoming invoices, ensuring each item is entered and processed accurately.
  • Compare purchase orders against invoices to confirm details align before payment is approved.
  • Examine billing documents for correct coding, required authorization, and overall accuracy.
  • Work directly with vendors to resolve payment issues, answer invoice questions, and address discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process payments within established timelines while maintaining precision.
  • Organize accounts payable files and supporting records so documentation remains complete and accessible.
  • Provide assistance with related accounting tasks and general administrative support as business needs require.
