Job Description

Our client is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper. This position supports the front office, accounting, and project management teams, with opportunities to develop additional skills and grow with the organization.

ResponsibilitiesPerform bookkeeping, reconciliations, data entry, and filing.

Provide backup support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Prepare certified payroll reports and supporting documentation.

Maintain vehicle and driver compliance, including registrations, inspections, insurance, and permits.

Assist with union benefits, dues, contributions, and required reporting.

Maintain employee financial, compliance, and union records.

Answer and route telephone calls and assist front-office visitors.

Support accounting and administrative staff during absences and busy periods.

QualificationsPrevious bookkeeping or administrative experience preferred.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic accounting software preferred.
