Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. This pivotal role involves managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices, maintaining precise financial records, and supporting overall financial operations. Duties Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and GAAP. Enter data accurately into accounting software systems (training provided). Reconcile accounts payable ledger and resolve discrepancies through detailed analysis and investigation. Prepare and process payments via checks, ACH transfers, wire transfers, or electronic payment systems. Maintain organized vendor files and respond professionally to inquiries related to payments and account status. Assist with month-end closing activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and audit preparation. Contribute to process improvements by identifying efficiencies in data entry, invoice processing, or reconciliation procedures. Skills Proven experience in accounts payable functions within a corporate or public accounting environment. Strong knowledge of accounting software such as Workday, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar platforms. Familiarity with financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation. Proficiency in data entry with high accuracy. Ability to analyze financial data accurately and efficiently. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and time management.
