About the Job Select Health Services (SHS) is a maritime medical supply company trusted by shipping and maritime operators to keep their vessels equipped and compliant. As we grow, we're looking for people who take ownership of our accounts and keep our financial records accurate and up to date. About The Role As an integral member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the accounting function of the business, with a focus on accounts payable and accounts receivable. You will manage invoicing, bill payments, and collections, keeping our financial records accurate and current, contributing to the overall financial health and success of our organization. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting or bookkeeping career looking to build hands-on experience. This is a full-time, On-Site opportunity located in Bear, DE. What You'll Do Prepare and send accurate customer invoices in a timely manner Process and pay incoming vendor bills Track outstanding customer balances and follow up on collections Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable aging and flag discrepancies Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records in our accounting system Match invoices and payments to purchase orders and sales orders Communicate with customers and vendors regarding billing, payment status, or discrepancies Escalate payment issues or blockers internally for timely resolution Support month-end close and reporting as needed What You Know Interest in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or bookkeeping (prior experience a plus, not required) Comfortable with basic data entry and general computer use Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Comfortable managing multiple invoices, bills, and deadlines simultaneously Good communication skills for interacting with customers and vendors Reliable and organized, with a willingness to ask questions and follow processes Comfortable in a primarily desk-based, computer-focused role What's In It For You?
