Description:
The AP Intern is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the accounting department, specifically in the areas of accounts payable and accounts receivable. This role involves data entry, recordkeeping, and general office duties to ensure the smooth operation of financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
  • Process vendor invoices by verifying information and obtaining proper authorization.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receive reports.
  • Enter invoice data into accounting software.
  • Maintain vendor files and records.
  • Assist with check preparation and distribution.
  • Reconcile vendor statements.
General Administrative Duties:
  • Data entry and maintenance of financial records.
  • File and organize financial documents.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries.
  • Provide general clerical support to the accounting department.
Requirements:
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in accounting or administrative roles preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of Quick Books and BOLT preferred
