Job Description

Company Overview EdemaCare is a specialty healthcare company built around chronic edema population management. We work with health plans, physician groups, and home health partners to keep members out of the hospital — and we are growing fast. Behind the clinical work is a multi-entity structure: a management services organization (MSO) that runs the business engine, and an affiliated clinical practice that delivers care. That structure creates real accounting work — intercompany allocations, management fees, payer remittances, provider payroll — and we need a bookkeeper who has done this before and does it cleanly. This is a hands-on seat for someone who owns the books, closes on time, and gives leadership numbers they can act on.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
  • Full-cycle bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online across multiple related entities (MSO, clinical practice, affiliated LLCs)
  • Month-end close on a set calendar — bank and credit card reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, closing entries
  • Intercompany transactions and management fee allocations between the MSO and the clinical entity, with clean documentation and no unexplained due-to/due-from balances
  • Healthcare revenue posting — insurance remittances, ERA/EOB deposits, payer adjustments, contractual write-offs, patient responsibility, and reconciliation between the billing system and the general ledger
  • Accounts payable: vendor bills, approval routing, payment runs, 1099 tracking and year-end filing
  • Payroll journal entries and reconciliation across entities, including provider and clinical staff pay, employer taxes, and benefit deductions
  • Chart of accounts and class/location tracking that keeps entity-level and division-level reporting accurate
  • Monthly financial packages — P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and division-level reporting — delivered to leadership on schedule
  • Cash tracking and short-term cash position reporting
  • Clean, organized workpapers and support for the CPA at tax time and for any audit or payer review
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 3+ years of full-charge bookkeeping, with at least 2 years in healthcare — provider practice, MSO, home health, DME, billing company, or similar
  • Expert-level QuickBooks Online. You know classes, locations, recurring transactions, bank rules, journal entries, and multi-entity file management cold. QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification is a plus.
  • Direct experience with multi-entity or intercompany accounting. You have handled management fees, allocations, and due-to/due-from between related companies.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle: how a claim becomes cash, what an ERA is, how contractual adjustments hit the books
  • Comfortable in Excel or Google Sheets — pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations
  • Accurate under a deadline. You close on time and your reconciliations tie.
  • Discreet with sensitive financial and patient-related information. HIPAA awareness required.
  • Clear communicator who flags issues early instead of letting them surface at close
NICE TO HAVE
  • Experience with Bill.com, Gusto, ADP, or similar AP and payroll platforms
  • Exposure to Medicare Advantage or value-based contracts
  • Experience integrating a billing or EMR system with QuickBooks Online
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
WHY THIS ROLE
You will work directly with the CEO and the finance function, not three layers down. The books you build support real decisions — payer negotiations, hiring, expansion into new markets. If you want a seat where accuracy actually matters and your work is visible, this is it. We move fast, we set a high standard, and we take care of our people.
COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE
  • $60,000
  • $78,000 per year, based on experience
  • Full-time, Monday through Friday
  • In-office in Altamonte Springs, FL with hybrid flexibility after 90 days
  • Health insurance, paid time off, and paid holidays
HOW TO APPLY
Apply with your resume. In one short paragraph, tell us the most complicated set of books you have managed and what made it complicated. We read every one. EdemaCare is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
