Payroll Accounting Specialist Location:
Dania Beach, FL Salary Range:
$52,000-$58,000 (Depending On Experience) About the Opportunity We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Accounting Specialist to join a dynamic Benefits Administration team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employer and employee contributions, including 401(k) plans and related benefits. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with data, and is highly organized with a strong commitment to accuracy and client satisfaction. This is an on-site position offering a collaborative team environment and the opportunity to contribute to critical financial and benefits operations. Responsibilities Maintain and monitor payroll logs for contributions to ensure compliance with internal policies and timelines Process employer contributions and reconcile discrepancies between remittances and contract records Handle 401(k) contribution processing and reconcile against funds received Prepare payroll cover sheets and ensure accurate documentation of incoming payrolls Review and reconcile vacation liability reports and identify discrepancies Perform account reconciliations for employer accounts as needed Maintain audit check documentation and research discrepancies across accounts Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly contribution-related functions, including funding activities Qualifications 3-7+ years of experience in accounting or a related field preferred Experience working with payroll, contributions, or financial data strongly preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access) Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage large volumes of data accurately Solid analytical and problem-solving skills #
