The Accounts Receivable will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining accurate records of customer transactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Generate and send accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner. Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up with clients to ensure prompt payment. Record and apply customer payments to the appropriate accounts. Resolve customer billing inquiries and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner. Reconcile accounts receivable aging reports and ensure that payments are collected within company terms. Prepare and review regular reports on accounts receivable status for management. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries related to receivables. Maintain and update customer account information in the accounting system. Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to address any billing or payment issues. Monitor credit limits and assist in credit checks to manage customer risk. Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with clients. Education and/or
Work Experience Requirements:
Proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a similar role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to handle sensitive financial data with discretion. Problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently. A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
