In this vital role, you will manage and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. Your expertise will help streamline bookkeeping processes, facilitate precise financial reporting, and contribute to the smooth operation of our accounting functions. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about numbers, organization, and contributing to a mission-driven organization. Duties Record and process all financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing and payment tracking Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analysis in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Assist with tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and preparing financial reports for management review Conduct double-entry bookkeeping to maintain the integrity of financial records and support audit readiness Requirements Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms Strong understanding of accounting principles, GAAP standards, and governmental accounting practices Familiarity with non-profit accounting practices is a plus Knowledge of technical accounting concepts including general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, debits & credits, journal entries, and bank reconciliation Ability to perform detailed account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation accurately Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry and record keeping Experience in payroll processing and tax compliance is desirable Strong communication skills to prepare clear financial report writing and documentation Join us in a role that combines precision with purpose!
