Join a family-oriented company that values personal and professional growth. Ed Morse is currently seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Process lien payoffs, calculate commissions, post new/used retail deals and wholesale transactions. Bank Reconciliation Review designated functional area(s) and prepare and post any necessary month end journal entries. Prepare effective account reconciliations with supporting documentation; research and follow up on differences from the expected balance. Provide assistance to and communicate with various departments regarding monthly accounting reports and other accounting-related documents/information and to explain accounting department policies and procedures. Other daily accounting duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Power Point used in the analysis of financial data is required. General knowledge of accounting-related information systems is required. Proven experience in automotive billing or a similar role. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of billing software and systems is a plus. Knowledge of titling process preferred but not required. Minimum 2 years of dealership experience Prior automotive accounting experience strongly preferred Ability to manage a high-volume workload accurately Strong organization and follow-through Able to work independently and as part of a team Why Ed Morse?
