JOB POSITION
ACCOUNTING
ASSISTANT
We're seeking a highly organized, sharp, and accountable Accounting Assistant who takes ownership of their work and does not let details fall through the cracks. This role supports our accounting and finance operations, including invoices, payments, reconciliations, financial records, reports, and constant follow-up. Experience is valuable, but character, discipline, integrity, and hunger to grow matter more to us.
Responsibilities:
•
Accounting Support:
Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, payments, expenses, reconciliations, and general accounting functions.
•
Financial Organization:
Maintain accurate and organized financial records, supporting documents, invoices, receipts, and account information.
•
Reconciliations:
Assist with bank, credit card, vendor, and account reconciliations and identify discrepancies that need attention.
•
Follow-Up:
Follow up relentlessly on outstanding invoices, payments, balances, documents, approvals, and anything else preventing a task from being completed.

Numbers matter. Double-check your work and make sure information is accurate before considering a task complete.
•
Email & Task Management:
Maintain an extremely organized inbox and task system. Emails should be answered, delegated, followed up on, or resolved — nothing should simply sit forgotten.
•
Reporting & Excel:
Assist with spreadsheets, financial reports, data entry, and tracking information needed by management.
•
Problem Solving:
When something does not reconcile or make sense, investigate it. We want someone who looks for the answer instead of simply passing the problem to someone else.
Qualifications:
•
Extremely Organized:
Able to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, documents, and priorities simultaneously.
•
Accountable:
Takes full ownership of responsibilities and follows tasks through from beginning to end.
•
Detail-Oriented:
Notices discrepancies and understands that small accounting mistakes can become large problems.
•
High Integrity:
You will work with confidential and financial information. Honesty and discretion are non-negotiable.
•
Proactive:
Does not need to be constantly reminded or managed. If something is pending, you follow up.
•
Fast Learner:
Comfortable learning new systems, processes, companies, and responsibilities.
•
Technologically Capable:
Comfortable with Excel, Word, email, accounting software, and learning new platforms.
•
Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills. English and Spanish preferred.
Primary Values:
While accounting knowledge and experience are important, we hire heavily based on character. We value hunger. We want someone ambitious who genuinely wants to build a career, learn, take on more responsibility, and become better at what they do. We value ownership. If something is assigned to you, we expect you to treat it as yours until it is completely resolved. We do not want someone who says, "I sent the email, so my part is done." If you need an answer, follow up until you get one. We value integrity, discipline, resourcefulness, and accountability. Mistakes can happen. Hiding them, ignoring them, blaming others, or allowing problems to sit unresolved is not acceptable.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU APPLY
Please read this carefully before applying. This position is not for everyone, and we completely understand that. Our standard working hours are generally 8:30 AM-5:00 PM , but this is not a clock-in, clock-out mentality position. There will be periods when work needs to be completed after hours, deadlines are demanding, or something urgent needs attention. There is pressure and responsibility in this position. Accounting affects every part of our business, and we expect the person in this role to genuinely care about the accuracy and completion of their work. We expect ownership. If something belongs to you, you are responsible for making sure it gets completed. We should not have to repeatedly remind you to follow up, check an account, answer an email, or finish something you already know is pending. We expect excellent follow-up. Your inbox and pending tasks should be under control. Our goal is zero forgotten emails, zero forgotten tasks, and zero "I thought someone else was handling it." We also operate like a growing company. Everyone wears multiple hats. Sometimes you will be asked to help with something outside your normal responsibilities, learn something you have never done before, or solve a problem without having step-by-step instructions. We want someone who goes the extra mile, asks questions, finds solutions, learns quickly, and genuinely cares about helping the company succeed. However, if you are hungry to learn, enjoy responsibility, perform well under pressure, and want an opportunity where the more you prove yourself, the more responsibility and growth you can earn, we would love to meet you. We have an incredible, collaborative, family-oriented team, but we also have high expectations. We work hard, move fast, and expect people to care about what they do.
