In this role, you will support the accounting department by managing essential financial tasks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth office operations. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will contribute to the efficiency of our financial processes and overall office management. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting and administrative expertise within a collaborative environment.
Duties General Duties :
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of management, staff and club information.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for fellow team members.
Accounts Receivable :
- Reconciliation of daily point of sale transactions.
- Interacting with members and posting of account adjustments.
- Posting and tracking of member payments and ACH bank deposits.
- Processing and distribution of member statements each month.
Accounts Payable :
- Receiving and tracking of invoices and reconciliation to vendor statements.
- Working closely with Department Managers to coordinate accurate coding and posting of invoices.
- Timely processing of vendor payments.
- Ensuring all invoices are expensed in the correct time period.
- Reconcile credit card statements
- Setup and maintain documentation of new vendors
Financial/General Ledger:
- Assist in the reconciliation of bank accounts & credit cards.
- Journal entries and reconciliation of general ledger accounts as assigned by Director of Finance.
- Record journal entries for the Women's Club Associations bank and fund accounts
- Assist the Director of Finance with the annual audit requests, surveys and other projects.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned. Skills
- Must be a team player and service oriented.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively in English before members and guests.
- Ability to perform basic accounting and math computations.
- Ability to organize and prioritize assigned projects.
- Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Ability to meet US employment eligibility requirements and company eligibility requirements.
EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors or Associates Degree in Business (Accounting or Finance).
- A minimum of three (3) years prior experience in the hospitality industry.
- Experience with Northstar software a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 specifically, Outlook, Excel and Word.
