Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to support a leave assignment in Florida. This contract position is ideal for an accounting specialist who can independently manage the full accounts payable cycle in a fast-paced environment. The role requires strong hands-on experience with invoice processing, payment administration, and account coding, along with confidence using Peachtree software.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete accounts payable process from invoice receipt through final payment and record reconciliation.
- Review and assign accurate general ledger codes to invoices to ensure proper financial tracking and reporting.
- Process vendor payments through ACH transactions and scheduled check runs while maintaining payment accuracy and timeliness.
- Verify invoice details, resolve discrepancies, and communicate with vendors or internal contacts to address payment-related questions.
- Maintain organized accounts payable records within Peachtree and support accurate documentation for audit and accounting purposes.
- Monitor outstanding payables and help ensure obligations are completed in accordance with established deadlines and procedures.
