Part-Time Bookkeeper
Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced, organized, and dependable Part-Time Bookkeeper to support the accounting and financial recordkeeping needs of a privately held property and real estate holding company. This is an in-office position working approximately 20-30 hours per week with flexible scheduling. The Bookkeeper will report directly to ownership and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, processing routine accounting transactions, and keeping financial documentation organized and current. The ideal candidate has hands-on QuickBooks experience, works well independently, maintains confidentiality, and is comfortable managing financial activity across multiple properties, accounts, vendors, and related business interests. Responsibilities Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using QuickBooks Record and properly categorize income and expenses Process and track accounts payable and vendor invoices Maintain organized records of payments, receipts, invoices, and supporting documentation Reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial accounts Track property-related expenses, vendor payments, and recurring obligations Review financial records for discrepancies and follow up on missing or incomplete information Maintain accurate general ledger information Assist with month-end bookkeeping and account reconciliation Prepare routine financial reports and summaries for ownership Maintain accurate records across multiple properties and/or related entities Coordinate with outside accountants, CPAs, vendors, or other financial professionals as needed Maintain organized electronic and physical financial records Assist with additional bookkeeping and accounting-related administrative tasks as needed Qualifications Previous professional bookkeeping or accounting experience required Experience using QuickBooks in a professional setting required Working knowledge of general bookkeeping and accounting principles Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations Experience with accounts payable, expense categorization, and general ledger transactions Strong attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills Ability to manage confidential financial and business information appropriately Ability to work independently and follow through on assigned responsibilities Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general office technology Comfortable working directly with ownership in a small-business environment Experience supporting real estate, rental properties, property management, construction, or multiple business entities is preferred. Schedule This position is expected to work approximately 20-30 hours per week. Scheduling is flexible within normal weekday business operations and will be coordinated with ownership. This is an in-office position. Compensation $25.00
