Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise in various accounting software and systems will help us streamline financial processes, support budgeting efforts, and produce precise financial reports. Duties Record and reconcile transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and other financial systems Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections Prepare journal entries, perform bank reconciliations, and maintain the general ledger in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify accuracy of financial data Process payroll and ensure compliance with payroll regulations and standards Assist in financial report writing, budgeting, and month-end closing activities Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions, including debits & credits, account reconciliation, and account analysis Requirements Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, and other financial management tools Experience with corporate accounting practices; familiarity with non-profit accounting is a plus Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting Ability to work with spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting purposes Knowledge of GAAP guidelines and technical accounting concepts Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills Effective communication skills for preparing financial reports and collaborating across teams Join us to be part of a vibrant organization that values accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 1.0 per week
