Full Job Description Bookkeeper Temp-to-Hire Please Note:
This is an onsite position. Only local Tampa Bay area candidates will be considered. $52,000 - $60,000 A stable, privately held organization is seeking a Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. This role is well suited for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a structured environment, takes ownership of their work, and can manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Full - Cycle accounts payable, matching/batching, GL Coding Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts Assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting Review transactions for accuracy and proper coding Manage vendor payments and employee expense reimbursements Support payroll processing and related recordkeeping Prepare schedules and documentation for audits and tax filings Monitor account activity and research discrepancies Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives Qualifications 3+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or finance experience Demonstrated employment stability and a consistent accounting background Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping Experience working within an ERP or computerized accounting system Comfortable handling multiple accounting functions simultaneously Strong attention to detail and follow-through Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Proficiency with Excel and other business software Excellent organizational and communication skills Selling Points Long-term career opportunity with a financially stable organization Collaborative, professional work environment Leadership team that values accountability and results Strong employee retention and company growth Opportunity to expand responsibilities over time
Compensation:
$52,000 - $60,000, depending on experience.
