Onsite initially; hybrid eligibility after established training/progression period We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Accounts Receivable / Customer Support to join our clients Accounting team. This role is ideal for someone with Accounts Receivable experience who enjoys problem-solving, building relationships, and helping customers navigate account questions with professionalism and accuracy. This is not a collections role. Instead, this position focuses on supporting insurance agents and vendors by researching account discrepancies, applying payments accurately, maintaining aged receivables, and delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting and reconciliation skills with patience, professionalism, and a service-oriented mindset. What You'll Do Answer inbound calls from agents and vendors regarding account statements and payment questions Research and resolve reconciliation discrepancies, duplicate payments, and unidentified cash items Process premium payments, daily deposits, EFTs, and credit balances Open, code, and process incoming mail and payments Maintain assigned aged receivables portfolio with a goal of keeping accounts 90% current monthly Generate courtesy reminders, payment notices, and past-due alerts Prepare weekly reports including uncleared cash reports and status updates Review cancellation invoices and finance chargebacks for outstanding balances Support accounting operations through accurate documentation, imaging, and archival processes What We're Looking For 2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience with a strong customer service approach Insurance industry experience or familiarity strongly preferred, but not required Strong problem-solving and research skills Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers Comfortable working in a fast-paced, productivity-focused environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to new software systems Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Self-starter with initiative and accountability Customer-focused mindset with a collaborative team approach Work Environment This position is primarily onsite during the initial training and onboarding period. Hybrid flexibility may be available after approximately 6 months based on performance, training progress, and departmental comfort level. Compensation Up to approximately $31/hour depending on experience Temp-to-perm candidates preferred #HP1
