Part-Time (Hybrid Opportunity) About Us Athens Montessori School is a nonprofit Montessori school serving children from Primary through Middle School. We are committed to providing an exceptional educational experience while fostering a collaborative and welcoming community for students, families, and staff. Position Summary Athens Montessori School is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Part-Time Bookkeeper to oversee the school's day-to-day financial records and bookkeeping functions. This position offers a flexible schedule, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement after training and onboarding, depending on the needs of the school. Responsibilities Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. Reconcile bank and credit card accounts. Assist with payroll processing and payroll records. Prepare monthly financial reports and account reconciliations. Support budgeting, annual audits, and tax documentation. Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with school policies. Collaborate with the Directorl and administrative team on financial matters. Perform other bookkeeping and administrative duties as needed. Qualifications Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience required. Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Schedule Flexible weekday schedule. Initial training will take place on campus. Hybrid work may be available after onboarding , with some on-site presence required for meetings, payroll, financial records, and other school-related responsibilities.
