Job Description
Experienced accounting clerk needed to perform general accounting duties including routine and non-recurring calculations, account reconciliations, cash balancing, verifications, and postings while ensuring accuracy and validity in the accounting processes. Onsite position in Boston, GA. Job Duties Enters data into various accounting systems or accounts including the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventoryPrepares various financial reportsReconciles various accounts which includes identifying discrepancies and determining corrective actionVerifies accuracy of information used in select accounting transactions such as researching incorrect information, determining the proper accounting treatment, and recommending corrections to the transaction originatorAnalyzes and processes documents after examining for completeness and accuracyCommunicates with others in the organization to answer accounting questions or resolve issuesAssists other co-workers with related tasks as necessaryMay specialize in areas such as accounts payable or accounts receivable or John Deere settlementsAnd other duties as may be assigned Job Requirements Understands accounting fundamentals such as debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and budgetsAbility to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and the internetAbility to use various computer programs specific to the positionHigh level of attention to detail and accuracyHigh School Diploma or equivalent required4 year Degree in an Accounting/Finance discipline preferred Ag-Pro provides a comprehensive range of benefits for all full-time positions that includes medical, dental, vision and a matching 401-K retirement plan along with a variety of other optional benefits.
