About the Role Wallaby Search & Placement is seeking an experienced and driven AP Specialist to join Detritus' rapidly growing team. In this role, you will manage the company's provider cards and ensure all invoices are paid in a timely manner. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for receiving and preparing accounts payable invoices, handling expense reports, and assisting with internal audits. The ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented, computer savvy, and has a strong understanding of accounting, payments, and budgets. A rapidly scaling, profitable business, Detritus is focused on becoming the go-to national partner for facilities and operations leaders seeking reliability, transparency, and cost efficiency across their service footprint. You Will Prepare, load, and record credit cards Maintain accurate general ledger journal entries Manage the Accounts Payable Dashboard on Salesforce, including several accounting reports Process accounts payable invoices Make provider payments promptly Provide support for audits Collaborate with other departments to handle accounting issues Prepare expense reports Assist with the Accounts Receivable team as required Other accounting duties as required You Have 0-2+ years of related Accounts Payable experience, preferably with rental invoicing Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred (relevant experience may substitute for education) Advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting software Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Salesforce Strong mathematical and analytical skills for pricing and negotiation Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-volume, and frequently changing accounting environment You'll Get Competitive base salary (negotiable based on experience) 401(k) retirement plan (with 4% company match) Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage Monthly gym stipend (the company will reimburse up to $25 / month for local gym memberships) A chance to make a big impact at a firm where your work will take your career to the next level
