Accounts Receivable Clerk - Accounting Vaden Automotive |
Savannah, GA Now Hiring:
Accounts Receivable Clerk! Vaden Automotive is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our Accounting team in Savannah, GA! This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily transactions, and supporting accounting operations across our dealerships. What You'll Do Reconcile daily cash, check, and credit card transactions from the Service and Parts departments across multiple dealership locations. Verify vehicle down payments and ensure accurate posting to the correct customer accounts and vehicle deals. Prepare daily bank deposits and maintain accurate deposit records. Process weekly down payment and cash reports. Maintain and reconcile accounting schedules, including Schedules 225 and 210. Prepare and file IRS Form 8300 for reportable cash transactions, as required. Process hold forms according to company procedures and established timelines. Work with dealership managers to verify payments and resolve discrepancies. Post customer payments for charge accounts and maintain accurate receivable records. Process customer down payment refunds when necessary. Review and verify checks related to Parts department credit memos. Assist the Accounting team with additional reporting, reconciliation, and administrative duties as needed. What We're Looking For Previous accounts receivable, accounting, or related financial experience preferred. Automotive dealership accounting experience is a plus, but not required. Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial transactions. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize daily responsibilities and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with CDK or a similar accounting system is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with multiple departments. Dependable, professional, and comfortable handling confidential financial information.
