POSITION SUMMARY
Locate and notify customers of delinquent accounts by telephone or email to solicit payment. Duties include sending out invoices on a daily basis, receiving payment and posting amount to customer's account; preparing statements to credit department if customer fails to respond; initiating repossession proceedings or service disconnection; keeping records of collection and status of accounts.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s) Maintain thorough knowledge of PLI Accounting Procedures and adhere strictly to all Accounting Controls put in place. Set up new customer data files in Visual including sales tax information. Maintain sales tax exempt certificates on all customers. Perform credit checks on new customers. Post customer payments accurately and timely. Ensure access to payment documentation by maintaining accurate filing system. Research and resolve customer payment discrepancies. Process and post invoices daily. Maintain department efficiency by providing backup to departmental personnel as necessary. Present positive impression of company by providing efficient and courteous service to outside callers. Reconcile, monitor and improve the accounts receivable aging report. Ensure accurate posting of invoices and payments to proper general ledger accounts. Other duties as assigned by manager.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
