Position Summary:
The Student Account Assistant will report to the Assistant Director of Student Accounts. Student Account Assistant duties and responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material. Familiar with a variety of the office concepts, practices, and procedures. Provide polite and professional assistance via phone, mail, and e-mail, and generally being a helpful and positive presence in the workplace. Responsibilities and Duties
  • Answer and direct phone calls concerning Student Accounts
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Contact students with unsettled accounts and attempt to either collect the amount due or negotiate a payment plan to collect the amount owed
  • Provide general support to students
  • Provide information by answering questions and requests
  • Post payments and charges to student accounts
  • Other duties assigned
Minimum Education Required:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred Education:
  • Bachelor degree Qualifications
  • Customer Service experience
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
