Job Description

Accounts Payable Assistant Windstar Lines is looking for an organized, detail-oriented to join our team. This position will support our accounts payable and maintenance program by processing invoices, managing maintenance payables, and maintaining accurate accounting records. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their accounting knowledge and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, family-oriented company.
Responsibilities include:
  • Process maintenance invoices, bills, and other daily accounting transactions.
  • Enter and maintain accounting information in our accounting system.
  • Assist with accounts payable, including matching invoices to documentation and processing payments.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding invoices, charges, and payment status.
  • Prepare and assist with monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Provide general administrative and accounting support to the accounting and maintenance departments.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies or questions related to invoices and transactions.
Qualifications include:
  • Previous accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working with numbers and reviewing detailed information.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a team player.
  • Dependable, organized, and willing to learn.
This position is full-time with competitive pay and benefits. This position is on-site at our corporate headquarters, 1903 N US Hwy 71, Carroll, IA, with hours Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with 1 hour lunch.
