Job Summary A Sioux City area law firm is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join their dynamic finance team. In this role, you will support the daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate data entry, efficient office management, and seamless communication across departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, proficiency with accounting and productivity software, and excellent customer service abilities. This position offers an opportunity to develop your accounting expertise within a professional environment committed to operational excellence. Responsibilities Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks. Manage front desk duties, including greeting visitors, handling multi-line phone systems, and directing inquiries professionally. Support accounts payable and receivable processes by preparing invoices, processing payments, and reconciling accounts. Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents, correspondence, and client records. Utilize Microsoft Office applications, particularly spreadsheets and Word processing tools, to generate reports and update records. Coordinate calendar management and schedule appointments for team members as needed. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client inquiries via phone or email. Support office management tasks such as ordering supplies, managing office equipment, and overseeing general administrative functions. Proofread financial documents for accuracy and clarity before submission or filing. Collaborate with team members to improve administrative workflows and enhance overall productivity. Skills Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong computer literacy with excellent data entry skills and attention to detail. Experience with office management, clerical tasks, and front desk operations. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse client needs effectively. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. Effective phone communication skills with proper phone etiquette. Knowledge of Google Workspace tools for collaboration and document management. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy. Previous administrative or personal assistant experience is a plus. Strong organizational skills combined with time management expertise to meet deadlines consistently. #
