Accounts Receivable Specialist /

Biller Vantage Senior Care Lincolnwood, IL Salary:

$55,000- $70,000 annually (based on experience) Vantage Senior Care is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist / Biller to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in supporting our supportive living and senior care communities by ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and compliance with Medicaid and insurance requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare billing, accounts receivable, Medicaid processing, and insurance collections. Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Illinois Medicaid billing systems is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Billing & Accounts Receivable Verify daily census and ensure accurate payer setup within PointClickCare (PCC) Perform monthly eligibility and insurance verification checks Complete charge entry and billing activities as needed Post and reconcile payments from all payer sources Process monthly private pay statements and distribute billing packets to community Business Office Managers Manage collections for outstanding private pay balances, including discharged resident accounts Process ACH payments and reconciliations multiple times per month Medicaid & Insurance Billing Enter resident admits, discharges, income changes, and level-of-care updates into MEDI Submit claims to Medicaid managed care organizations and other insurance payers Ensure claims are billed accurately and within required timeframes Follow up on unpaid claims with insurance companies and managed care plans Complete all required Illinois HFS billing activities, including roster management Compliance & Administrative Support Maintain accurate billing records and supporting documentation Assist with month-end billing and reconciliation processes Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific billing regulations Support the Finance Department with additional accounts receivable and billing functions as assigned Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of healthcare billing, medical billing, or accounts receivable experience Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, managed care plans, and insurance collections preferred Knowledge of Illinois MEDI and HFS billing processes strongly preferred Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel Excellent communication and customer service skills Why Join Vantage Senior Care?
