Job Description

Position Title:
Finance Department Part-Time Clerk Department:
Finance Department Hours:
20-30 hours per week
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Department Part-Time Clerk's general responsibilities are included but not limited to the following:
  • Prepare annual fire protection notices
  • Update fire protection customers with fire department
  • Prepare annual food truck, coin op, music box, cigarette and tobacco licenses notices and prepare licenses
  • Assist customers with bonds,permits, utility payments, and other services
  • Post various payments in cash receipting
  • Perform general filing and records management
  • Prepare monthly lake lease invoices
  • Cross train as required for all duties as assigned in Finance Department
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to operate office machines
  • Ability to work as part of office team
  • Ability to interact effectively with public and staff at all levels
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Ability to work on tasks independently and with accuracy
Physical Requirements:
  • Work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
  • May sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
  • Requires use of calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday
  • Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
  • Physical demands include some normal lifting (not to exceed 25lbs at a time), carrying, and delivering items within City Hall or to post office or bank.
  • Work environment can be stressful.
