Job Description:
Based in Norridge, Illinois, we are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our amazing accounting team. The individual in this position will play a critical role in managing our incoming payments, issuing accurate customer invoices, resolving account discrepancies, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate possesses a strong numerical aptitude, excellent communication skills, is highly detail-oriented & organized, and demonstrates elevated critical thinking skills.Key Responsibilities:
- Send invoices and statements to customers through mail and email.
- Maintain organized and accurate AR files.
- Process check, credit card, and EFT payments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain and update customer information.
- Monitor inboxes and handle requests promptly.
- Research and resolving customer inquiries and discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Contact customers about past due balances in a respectful manner.
- Serve as a mediator between sales & customers, reducing risk of nonpayment.
Key Working Relationships:
The successful candidate will report to the Accounting Manager in Norridge, Illinois and will communicate with all the other departments.Requirements:
- Must be self-driven, task oriented, and able to manage time effectively
- Strong computer skills
- Proficient with Outlook, Teams, Excel, and other Microsoft Suite products
- Elevated verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on professionalism
- Excellent attention to detail
- Basic math skills
- Team player
- (Preferred) 1 to 3 years of Accounts Receivable experience
