Job Description

Accounting Clerk Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Finance Manager, the Accounting Clerk assists with the accounting and finance functions of the Organization and supports the
Finance Manager Weekly Schedule & Hours:
Full-time, 40 hours per week Monday- Friday, 8am-5pm
Duties & Responsibilities:
Enter all club purchases into Sage Intaact as purchase requests and ensure all supporting documentation is electronically saved.
Accounts Receivable:
Assist with creating & submitting daily deposit forms from the various site locations. Prepare and provide clubs with monthly budget & grant reports. Assist with general-ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and identify and correct errors made by internal and external personnel. Support monthly and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance-sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of operational management accounts Prepare special financial reports, when requested by senior managers, by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends Assist with other accounting and finance functions as needed
Required Qualifications:
At least one (1) year of accounting/finance, experience, ideally with a nonprofit Basic accounting knowledge and experience with general ledger accounting systems (Sage Intacct preferred) Attention to detail and appetite for researching and resolving issues Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Club staff, leadership, community members, and other related agencies Familiarity with accounting software/systems and proficient in Microsoft Excel Reliable transportation, safe driving record, active driver's license, and automobile insurance Position may require standing/sitting for extended periods of time, reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, bending at the waist, and ability to lift, carry, pull or otherwise move objects up to 20lbs.
