Job Description

Receptionist/Accounting Clerk Typical schedule: 9:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday (with 1 hour lunch) - 40 hours per week
Pay:
Starting pay is $16.00 per hour, with compensation commensurate with experience.
Pay Type:
Hourly, paid weekly.

Duties:
Answer phones/direct calls. Greet customers/visitors and help them navigate the facility. Enter various accounts payable transactions in computer software program including receiving items, entering bills, and printing check payments. Prepare invoices to customers, follow up on payment status, receive payments, prepare deposits, and any other related accounts receivable processes. Reconciliation of monthly bank statements, credit cards, and general ledger accounts. Enter time records and process payroll weekly in computer software program. Check for accuracy in reports, figures, entries, and transactions. File records, make copies, scan documents, maintain up to date safety data sheets (SDS) binder. Prepare outgoing mail daily and occasional UPS or FedEx shipments. Responsible for maintaining adequate inventory of various office supplies. Shred or recycle appropriate material as necessary. Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy workspace taking pride in company image. End of day closing procedures including: sanitize high touch surfaces, unplug coffee pot, wipe down of lounge counters, secure office, lock doors and cabinets, turn out lights/monitors, etc. Other accounting and office related duties as necessary.
Job Requirements:
Attention to detail is crucial for this position. Must have excellent communication skills that are clear, friendly, and professional. Must have excellent phone etiquette. Ability to properly operate standard office equipment including: computer, telephone, copier, scanner, and fax machine. Must have basic knowledge of/be comfortable with Microsoft Office software products including Outlook, Excel, Word. Experience with accounting or bookkeeping software is a plus. This position requires a person with a high level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality. Punctuality is required. Must project a friendly, kind, and positive attitude. Must be able to follow directions and work well both as part of a team and as an individual. High School diploma or GED required. Able to pass a background check. Able to pass a drug test if required.
